My physician is offering some kind of light therapy, especially in the winter. The idea is I should go in for half an hour and get flooded with a very bright white light. The health insurance here won't pay for it. Is your's anything like that? The insurance pays for medication and I am taking one tablet of St. 's Wort each afternoon. Each tablet is 650 milligrams which my physician considers to be the minimum dose but my pharmacist says is a high dose. > I have tried go off of medication, > but that does not work for me, > so i know i have to stay on them. All I know is that the St. 's Wort tablet works. If I leave it off then I get symptoms after only two days but when I start up with it again, it takes two weeks before I see the effect. On the down side, with it I get badly constipated, without it that clears up right away. My test is to have breakfast and then sit on the couch in front of the TV. When I am taking the medication, I can say to myself: " Get up and do something " and I get up straight away. Without the medication, I can't move - I just sit there staring at the TV like an idiot! > I am happy too. Hey, Helen! Tell me the name of your " happy " pill, please - I reckon that I could use some of those right now!
