Diabetes and Caregiving

There have been a few recent posts from members stating they are caring for an

elderly relative in their home. This is a subject I know all to well. I cared

for my Mom 24/7 for 9 years. She suffered from Alzheimer's disease. I mention

this because during this time I was so sleep deprived and stressed that I did

not take care of myself. Looking back I think this was the trigger for me

getting Diabetes.

This is a painful period of my life that I don't like to talk about. I decided

if I could help just one person by warning them not to neglect their health

while being a caregiver then it was worth it to me. Please keep your Diabetes

in check as much as you can. Test and see your dr. as needed.
