Guest guest
Does anyone else notice that lantus starts to lose power after about three weeks? I keep it in the fridge like I'm supposed to, but after about three weeks my sugar levels start to climb. Sometimes a small increase helps...but other times I notice that when I open a new bottle I'm back to normal. But....sometimes it's too soon to get a refill and I have to increase the dose, which makes me nervous. I'll have to have my doc write for two bottles a month I guess. -- We're gonna win Twins, we're gonna score. We're gonna win Twins, watch that baseball soar! Knock out a homerun, shout a hip horray! Guest guest
Hi, I also was on Lantus and Humalog for several years. I noticed that the start of a new vial my sugar levels would drop drastic and it was an ever sliding scale as the vial was used. After uncontrol sugar levels I was finally put back on Humlin N and I now have better control. I have brittle diabetes due to major pancreas problems. I now am able to keep my sugar levels where my meter can at least read them.
