Mamie,

This is wonderful that Jim is doing so well! I believe you have to do

what is best for you. It is always wonderful to hear good news!

Elliot did not culture anything except H. Influenza......no PA. This is his

second culture of H. influenza but the Doctor says even though it is common

in CF kids they have never linked it to anything serious. Any thoughts??

We woke up to snow on the ground this morning in Colorado too.

,

I'm sorry you are having pain, but am glad the doc is

listening to you. And that things are going well with

your ss and stuff.

I hope and pray you feel better soon and that

everything goes your way with the military situation

too.

Best wishes and many, many {{{HUGZ}}}

Dear ,

Congratulations Ma'am, way to go!! I'm so pleased for you that you got that

" Nod " we all shamefully have to hunger so desperately for - but we do, and

you got it, and that makes me SO happy!

I also wanted to make a note that I have one of the same hopes that you do

- that it might actually translate into less attacks. I know that for

me, stress and CP go hand-in-hand, and money (or lack thereof) and stress go

hand-in-hand. It's an obvious trigger for me, that's for sure. So while a

few hundred bucks a month won't ever make me rich, hopefully the assistance

can help me buy a little bit of heath for a little while. I surely do hope

so -in fact, I plan on it. I've worried and fussed over money too darn much

of my life, and it hasn't once been of any benefit that I can see. But I'll

be grateful to help me survive in the world and pay for most necessities.

Peace & Good Fortune, !

Terry in KC

<< Hi Everyone,

I hope this finds you in a painless day. Unfortunately I have been

suffering for a week now but the good news is my doctor has finally

let me be the judge of my pain management. He was extremely upset

with the ER Dr. that saw me last Friday (although he was upset with

me also for drinking). I went back to the ER Monday @ 4am & the CT

scan showed my pseudocyst has grown larger. When I saw him Tuesday he

marked in my chart that if I request pain meds after office hours,

the Dr. on call is to prescribe enough for 2 days. He said he'd

rather see me in the office or he will make a housecall as he lives

only 6 blocks from me than for me to be in the hospital. He said he

thinks I'm a good enough judge to tell if I need fluids or not.

The other good news, my worker from SS has sent in a 'favorable'

recommendation. I should hear something within the next two weeks.

Along the same lines, the military may be owing me a pension also.

Seems that on my last 2 physicals, my amalase & lypase levels were

elevated and the abdominal xray that was taken when I had female

problems showed my pancreas to be iin the beginning stages of

disease.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Maybe I

won't have as many flare-ups since my stress level has been lowered a

considerable amount. Thanks to everyone who has given me advice &

help. I'm keeping everyone in my prayers. >>

Saw the Doctor on Friday. He told me that he'd be happy if all his

diabetics had bg numbers like I do. (I have gained 10 pounds

though.) But he said he had nothing bad to say. (I've never been

complimented by a doctor on my health befoe!!)

YEAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Seriously Ruth I am so glad it's working, and your doing great. Keep smiling and your in my prayers that things will continue to go well. Take Care,,,ConnieRuth wrote: Hi Everyone...I have been having a heck of a time reading and posting messages...so I have missed the Chats.....I'll reset my computer tomorrow and see if that helps. GOOD NEWS! My Eye doc today said there is not longer ANY-AS IN NO- INFLAMMITORY CELLS IN MY EYES! I've been down to a trace before after the injections...buy never ~0~ So the Remicade is doing it job....I AM SO BLESSED!! I just so much want this drug to be available to all those that can need it. I have spoken with both my Rheumitologist and now with the Eye doc about documenting these results not only for the insurance benifets but so that when they encounter the next patient - Remicade will be available. ( It took my Rheumatologist months to come on board and prescribe Remicade!) I am afraid to get my hopes up too much as I know there are hurdles and side effect to cross!! Has anyone heard any more from Kim? I have

been sending her notes and prayers but was wondering. TTFN Ruth __________________________________________________
