Well, I've been following what thoughts and comments people have on

the subject. I am concerned about whole issue of ketones. And

thanks to the person who gave the heads up about the cheese.

I plan on starting the diet this weekend, hopefully, and have already

started a modified version of it to get used to the idea. My blood

sugars ran really wonderfully. I'd *almost* happily stay overweight

if it meant having such even sugars all the time. But of course I

need a larger data pool to make any kind of real conclusion.

If people are interested, I can post updates on my progress and

experience. I don't really know people here, so I don't know if

anyone would be interested.

I am interested for one. What

modifications did you make, ? Do

you still have the three phases?

did someone mention cheese?!! cheese is getting me into trouble with

cholesterol (borderline high LDL). i love cheese.

that would be great if you posted your diet progress.

i got the south beach diet book too, and the zone. the ketone issue

bothers me as well. i wouldn't do the " cleansing weeks " at the

beginning. and i'd probably be sure to limit my protein intake to

the recommended amounts my nutritionist gave me (you know, protect

the kidneys). and i might edge up the carbs, depending - just to

make sure i got at least the 120g, i think it is, they say your

brain needs every day.

i tried a zone breakfast drink - nuts, cottage cheese, water - it

was really tasty i thought and resulted in good numbers. breakfast

seems to be when i get the worst post-prandial results these days.
