Success with repo?

Has anyone's little one been diagnosed with plagiocephaly with mild

face asymmetry in the temples and cheeks, and have it correct itself

with repositioning, rather than a band or helmet? I have an appt next

week for my 4 month old with a cranial facial specialist, to see if she

even has plagio, and am scared about getting a band or a helmet. Ears

and forhead are fine, just one temple is more wide than the other. The

one that is slimmer is on the same side as the small bump she has on

the back side of her head. Wondering if it is related, or if her

asymmetry is just something unrelated, and is what God gave her.

Interested in your thoughts. Thanks!

Yes, we've had near complete correction with repo, just working on a

few very small spots that I assume will just grow out since all the

rest has extremely well. We were very very very aggressive (even co-

slept at first to get him used to sleeping off his flat spot and to

watch him), and our assymetry went away I'd say at around six months

or so (we started repo at two and half months). It's a long stressful

road, but it has worked for us. Also we were guided somewhat by

monthly visits to a cranial doc and would've banded him if he hadn't

have gotten such great correction. Another woman on the board has had

complete correction with her daughter who started repo around the

same age as we did (two or so months I believe until six or so)

Let me know if I can help..

Was the asymmetry in the face, around the space between the eye and ear? The reason I ask is because that is where my dds is, and I am not sure if it is a plagio thing or not, since the she hardly has a flat spot and the more round portion is so small in the back. I Am wondering if it could be a normal asymmetry she has just because, and not related to plagio. Thanks!emmawoodhouse_2000 <emmawoodhouse_2000@...> wrote: Yes, we've had near complete correction with repo, just working on a few very
