Guest guest
Dear Ed Cyberfilly, Yes!!!!!! that happens to me all the time. I start a letter, especially long ones, and my bwave (internet server) cuts me off, I either lose all my letter or half of it. Jody said it comes through to the group, but when it comes back to me I only get part of it. Jodi said to call bwave, which I did, and they told me it was probably my phone line. So I'm back where I started from, because my phone doesn't give me any trouble, so far as I know. June 64, Delaware

Most Internet service providers (ISPs) have a time limit that cuts you off automatically after a pre-determined time of inactivity. While you are writing a letter, you are not actually sending anything out or in -- hence the line is inactive and you are cut off. Believe it or not this is time limit is for your benefit as it reduces the frequency of those annoying busy signals when you try to log on. Sometimes if I really don't want to be logged off, I switch to my browser and go somewhere on the Net and then return to my letter. If you are using AOL, you might want to run an separate browser(such as Navigator or Explorer) to get out of the cumbersome AOL software mess. --

Guest guest
To Ed, June and all interested. While writing lengthy e-mail, I too have been cut off a number of times by my server. My son, a program consultant, told me to save it often, otherwise the server, seeing no action, thinks I went out to the fridge to get a baloney sandwich or something and forgot to come back!!! If you don't save it...they'll zap it!! Oh, Oh...I spoke too soon!!! They disconnected me for awhile...but I was able to get back in. Wishing you a Happy New Year and many restful nights Meg, N.Y. You may only be saving to your own hard drive, in which case your server still thinks your are getting that sandwich. Therefore you need to do something that involves your host server. --, western NY

Guest guest
Hi Carmen, Walking is very painful for me, so i use a Gazelle, yes as seen on tv. It is kind of like a ski machine very low impact on the joints. I am up to twenty minutes a day. Hi DJ, Any idea how long one would have to stay in the hospital with an insulin drip?
