Guest guest
Hi, I'm Lori, female (duh!), 31, and I live in Canada. I was just diagnosed as diabetic on July 27th. Right now I'm only on metformin twice a day (once with my morning meal, and once with my evening meal). I test my b/s twice a day as well (once before my morning meal and again 2 hours after my evening meal). My dad is also a diabetic. He too, is on metformin. I do have a quick question. Would a situation in which you have a major adrenaline rush cause your bs levels to rise to a ridiculous number? Just wondering cause last night our house got broken into and I came home to find the front door wide open. I was the only one home as my parents had gone to a jamboree 43 km west of here. I drove out to where they were after the cops had done a thorough search through the house, and when I got to my parents motorhome I had to check my b/s levels cause it was past my 2 hours from the evening meal, and it was like 16.8!! It was 12.6 earlier that morning. I know, it's not a great number. It was down to 12.8 this morning. *sigh* Anyway.... would that cause it to skyrocket or not?
