Hello,

I sure hope i do not get dinged for this, but i really think we ought

to stick to better topics than politics, as we all know we will not all

agree on this, and i feel you all are way to nice to have a board war here.

I know i am pretty new hear but i really like this bord, as it appears

that you all are kind abd caring, and i need support, help etc with my

diabetes.

And now for a diabetic topic, when I went to the dietician they really

focused on low fat and the carb count but can someone help bring me upto

speed on protien counts?

What is a biomarker?

Is there any truth that diabetics are more suscetable to bites and

stings?

Does anyone here have respiratory problems that require prednison?

Helen,

I used to getasthma attacks that required prednisone. I could always

attribuite them to being near cats, I was very allergic, to say the least.

Knock wood, I haven't had an attack in a few years and really don't want to

find out how it would effect the diabetes.
