Guest guest
Does any one count carbs as part of their food plan? I can have 45 grams breakfast, lunch and dinner, and 15 for three snacks. Helen in SD

She is on 4 insulin shots a day. Yes, she is learning carb counting. She is suppose to have 60 for dinner and lunch. Breakfast, she has never been much of a breakfast eater, and im trying to get her in the habit of that. So they are telling me to at least give her something small. It is hard to do the carb counting. I dont have enough resources. Im sure once is becomes a habit and she and I gets used to it that it will get easier. I am new to this group and I am enjoying it so far. Tammi
Guest guest
Hey, Tammi... I was told by my diabetes educator that I could have a total of 60 Carbs per meal, or 45 each meal and save the extra 15 for snacks, it seems to be the standard for diabetic's...but each person is different Carmen [alldiabeticinternational] Re: Digest Number 50 > Does any one count carbs as part of their food plan? > > I can have 45 grams breakfast, lunch and dinner, and 15 for three snacks. > > > Helen in SD Hello Helen, My daughter is the one that is diabetic, she is soon to be 11 yrs old.
