Loretta,

wow, I think ur loss is great, I had my surgery 5-5-03, I am

currently down

64pounds. I was wondering if you have any trouble eating , I have trouble

eating meat, it feels like it is stuck for a short time then finally will go

down, am I not chewing well enough or what, is this normal? I currently

have to drink 2 protein shakes a day to get in my protein, can't seem to get

enough eating regular meals.

Did u have any trouble with hair loss? Looking forward to hearing from u.

For hair loss you can use Nioxin, you can pick it up at the local hair salon

hi loretta. 1st, excellent job on the w l!!! you're just about a yr

out, wow! after lots & lots of research, feedback from the group, my

trainer, doc, etc, i've formed a " goal " weight. it is based on body

fat %age, which i have measured w/ this handheld device, where you

punch in age, weight, etc. the readout from the machine gave me x lbs

of lean body mass, & x lbs of body fat. it's very enlightening & it's

IMPOSSIBLE to play the games ppl play with the scale.

have you calculated your new BMI? unless you 4'6 " , you sound about

right.

& if/when you have reconstructive surgery, that subtracts a few lbs,

too.

lori h.

PS don't do popcorn here, either.

I would like to personally thank all of the members who have responded

to those in need over the past few days. I know for myself, whenever I

start feeling frustrated over the day I'm having, I inevitably read a

post that makes me realize that it's not so bad. Also helps me to keep

focused on the issues that do matter-concerning diabetes and all of

its complications-and to not be so concerned with less important matters.

Again, thanks to all for sharing your experiences to those in need. I

do believe what goes around comes around-you give-you receive-and we

all know we have those moments where we need.

Peace, Grace and Blessings to all,

Jamez
