I am always open up to advice, and maybe a little thought and Prayer along the way too. Hi Tina, prayers are always available here! As far as your BG's, have you been testing regularly? Was this just do to your illness? Strains of illness etc can drive your BG crazy. Hugs, Marilyn
Guest guest
Hi Tina, small world, I live in Kent. Sometimes when your bg numbers can't be controlled on oral meds your Dr. will suggest insulin. Has your Dr. talked with you about this as a possibility? For me having an infection always raises my bg numbers. I hope you feel better soon. I am new to this group too. Vicki From: Tina Krause My name is Tina. I am 39, Married, from the Seattle, WA area... and a type 2 Diabetic. I really sometimes wish there were better skilled doctors for knowing help for Diabetics... and more financial help too. I had to quit working a Full time job and take Disability from SS due to being Diabetic and having a Chronic wound that would not heal. Biggest problem, is I was without any Medical for like 9 months... and just getting around to being able to go back to see a Doctor, since I just got my Medicare back... I had some medication for this time, but no other Medical care which has probably caused some problems. I ended up with Bronchitis on Tuesday, and went to the Doctor since I now have Medicare again... and was given some Antibiotics for the Cold, but my Sugar level was 351... and this is with taking the Medications I was prescribed with before I was without Medical. The doctor is hoping a lot of it, is because I am sick... but they were having troubles keeping my Blood sugar down under 200 even when I had Medical before. The doctor I saw today is a New doctor for me, and seems pretty knowledgeable, so I will just give him time and go from there. (The one I was seeing before I was not satisfied with anyways, so I wanted a New dr.) So if anyone has any thoughts, and suggestions, please feel Free. I am always open up to advice, and maybe a little thought and Prayer along the way too. ~~TINA~~

Hi Tina, meant to ask where the wound is located, what you have tried and I will pass them to me daughter who is a wound treatment nurse for a convalescent home. She is rather famous around here!
