Guest guest
They can order it from their supplier at Walmart. Problem was that it was backordered so it is coming from a grocery store now at a little higher price. BJ is 3, he will be 4 next month and he weighs around 12 kgs Here is my address Dawn 3033-4 Fort Riley, KS 66442 Please let me know how much shipping is and I will send it to you. I really appreciate it. Guest guest
Actually, Walmart has a pharmacy department and any pharmacy - i.e. CVS can order it. It is not prescription and pharmacies and such can order just like I can call up and order it directly - I di that for almost a year when insurance refused to pay for it. Guest guest
The study was published in Gastroenterology 1995; 109;1503-1513 I have a copy if you have a fax #. I think Sharon may have an electronic copy. That is a very low dose of Flovent to be used in this setting. We were taking 3-4 times that amount. Guest guest
Dawn, You got NEOCATE from WALMART? I thought it had to be ordered from SHS -- can't believe WALMART could get that!!!! Guest guest
Just thought I would add something I was able to get Neocate at a local pharmacy through WIC, however it was never there when we needed it, even when I called in advance, also they wouldn't bill it to my insurance, etc., it was a pain in the . . . So we just had the DR get it ordered through a home supplier along with all his tube supplies. I got some good news today also for the first time since Connor was 3 months he is on the growth chart for height he's in the 5th percentile YAH Connie
Guest guest
I agree with on this one Dawn. The ONLY place to get Neocate is from SHS and the suppliers HAVE to buy it from SHS. I have to wonder if someone is really pulling your leg and you will get a phone call apologizing that they CANT get it for you. SHS ONLY sells Neocate, they would not be on a grocer's supply list because very few people are on it. It is so expensive it is purchased almost soley through medical suppliers. If your GI doc said he has to drink 5 " cans " a day, I'd be a little worried. The Neocate comes in boxes, not cans, and each box is 237ml. I hope you dont end up with ENSURE! LOL I wonder if you should get a military doctor to write you the form for medical necessity, send it to Tricare and get THEM to get it for you. If you don't have a case manager, CALL THEM AND GET ONE. Mine takes care of all this A@#$)($ for me now. I call her and tell her what I need, fax her the scripts and documentation and she GETS IT. All this stuff can be faxed back and forth and you can get it within days. Some of your frustration comes from having military insurance and civilian doctors. The civi's have a harder time knowing how to get the stuff paid for. Steph ____________________________________ >That's a good one......never heard of Neocate being on back order. LOL. >Sorry, but I went to the oley conference in SLC and Nestle was there with >the Peptemen Jr and all that stuff and I told them Spencer was on Vivonex >and previous Neocate and they said " Way out of our league " . Guest guest
On second thought, , why can't WIC order it from SHS? They have a website, I think it is SHS.com as a matter of fact. Guest guest
I know that if you call the company they send out free samples. My mother called and asked if they have any free samples b/c we wanted to try Miriam on it but didn't want to try a whole case if she didn't like it .They sent us 6 boxes. It doesn't hurt to try Shana (mom to Miriam 3 1/2 EG,food allergies , Yisroel 2 food allergies, asthma, trying to find out about him,Tehilla 7 ADHD,learning disabilities) Re: [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] Elemental Diet > > >This is like Walmart promised us 1 case yesterday and now they say they >can't get it till the 20th.
