This goes way back (about a year and a half) and it was re specifically

better grabbing the Hg (etc) moved past b/b/b by ALA and bringing it to

excretory pathways rather than chance it redeposit moreso into body.

Since about the only good thing I ever got from my HMO was discounted Rx's

- and a LOT of grief - I have access to affordable DMSA.

> what was so special about your case.

Don't know about " special " , except that I'm one of the minority who got most

of their

(and huge) Hg burden (plus As, Pb) from LOTS of fish - Swordfish,

shellfish, sashimi, etc... 10 years... and tuna (almost every day for 2

years).

And I also had the average number of amalgams, thimerasol (maybe above

average as a child, for my generation).

> There are some topics I don't really ( ... " grok " )

I didn't know anyone else used that word by me, these, days,

but... " I can dig it. "

I believe I read all of them yesterday, (on yours) thanks again for sharing

all

urls. When I can, I'll check autism files, too. I am always interested in

reviewing what Andy may have written, and have saved every email he ever sent

me.

From all I've read / heard so far, I did not get the full sense of what's

right/best in my case, and I may just do a trial, unless I hear from Andy

that it's ALWAYS better to use DMSA along with ALA, if one is able to get and

tolerate DMSA (which is what I sense from what I've read) in my case - or

perhaps - anyone's.

What I got from archives and other communications I've read is that it's

better with DMSA, but doable without. (after a certain point in time)

Perhaps, though, I don't need DMSA at all now. What I was told previously, is

that I don't need DMSA at all anymore UNLESS taking ALA.

> take ALA alone and not be bothered.

I don't mean bothered by ALA, per se. That may or may not happen, and I plan

to keep the doses low. (better in my case). What I meant by " bothered "

concerns REDEPOSIT of Hg coming out past b/b/b and (into tissues?) I do know

I don't want to exacerbate any remaining problems. I want to make it as

" easy " on my body

as possible.

> Do you know if you are reacting to the mercury or to the sulfur

My first experience with DMSA/ALA was OK during (as far as I could tell,

had a bad cold) and I had some unpleasant but temporary side effects

about a week after for about 3 weeks... some " anxiety " and a few short moments

of " disorientation of intention " . (Not the " good " disorientation I'm " used

to " from

deep inner work, etc.) That passed. I felt I was better off (deep sense) for

doing it,

despite discomfort and something I mention a bit later here.

Cannot tell if that all was Hg or Su or both or neither. Maybe it was simply

the

effects of restructuring molecular components and something that I had to

suffer as part of healing. Could it have been improved on? Well...

I tried (less) ALA/DMSA about 6 months later, had better reaction, good one,

and no noted side effects. But, also took only 2 days worth. (vs 5).

The 1st time, I also had immediate diminishment of something that had been

building up in strength and documented frequency for about a year ( " psychic

abilities " ) which I'll share on perhaps some other post, if there's

interest, and

regarding which, I discovered, some have historically used " inhalation of Hg "

to gain or increase such or related abilities. (i.e. Tantric and some Sangomo

practices.)

Not worth the trade-off, of course.

> If sulfur you can sulfur-restrict the rest of your diet

I used to eat almost no Su and now eat a lot. I may restrict it next time,

with

or without DMSA. I look forward to doing ALA again fairly soon, but based on

what's been happening with me this last year, I want to make it as easy on

myself as possible. Whether easier with or without DMSA... just don't know

yet.

Regards, and thanks, again.
