Guest guest
, Please let us know when it is ok to mention knowing another person who had dura mater and died of CJD. A way of getting a stop to the use of dura mater is the public's awareness of it, its use and the possible horrendous consequences. I read it is used in 10% of neurosurgeries though I can't remember where I read it. Mentioning dura mater's widespread use may be a way of getting Oprah and Rosie and others interested in it and a show on CJD especially since a lot of brain surgery is on children. Guest guest
Debbie, I think you have touched on an important point. If people see that this horrid disease can affect not only adults and elderly, but children, we might be able to get somewhere with the talk shows.
