Guest guest
Hello again, > This goes way back (about a year and a half) and it was re specifically > better grabbing the Hg (etc) moved past b/b/b by ALA and bringing it to > excretory pathways rather than chance it redeposit moreso into body. I just reread something of Andy's today (don't know where) where he said that if DMSA will used with ALA it is something like 30% more effective. There was some percentage, or range. Being BETTER is not AT ALL THE SAME as being REQUIRED. Saying " if you use DMSA it will be a bit more efficient " is not at all like saying " you have to use DMSA. " Andy repeatedly says you DON'T have to use DMSA, but that there are considerations where you may want to. (Again, recent merc exposure and high copper). ---Um--- or for lead tox you would use DMSA. I have never used DMSA. I've been taking ALA for a year. I have asked Andy about my personal situation several times. He has never told me I should take DMSA. What I understand is that SOME mercury is redeposited each round when you stop. Meanwhile the overall level is decreasing. This sounds good to me, and my experience is that it is, generally, good. > > There are some topics I don't really ( ... " grok " ) > I didn't know anyone else used that word by me, these, days, > but... " I can dig it. " It is a good word. Almost essential > My first experience with DMSA/ALA was OK during (as far as I could tell, > had a bad cold) and I had some unpleasant but temporary side effects > about a week after for about 3 weeks... some " anxiety " and a few short moments > of " disorientation of intention " . (Not the " good " disorientation I'm " used > to " from > deep inner work, etc.) That passed. I felt I was better off (deep sense) for > doing it, > despite discomfort and something I mention a bit later here. Maybe I'm missing something but this sounds perfectly normal to me. I would expect SOME cyclic fluctuations in mercury-related symptoms as par for the course. Or, maybe it was A LOT of anxiety. > I tried (less) ALA/DMSA about 6 months later, had better reaction, good one, > and no noted side effects. But, also took only 2 days worth. (vs 5). Does this mean you have used ALA on only these 2 occassions so far? Of course, I'm just one individual, and do not know if my case is useful. Still FWIW, I just completed round 28. Mostly 2.6 days " on " . Sometimes more or less. Usually 2.6. I started at 100/mg per dose, and now take 300/mg per dose. I'm not recommeding this exact thing, just telling you factually a little about what I've done. Moria
