Guest guest
Welcome to the list. In regards to allergy testing, AJ has tested negative to dairy and she can not touch it without breaking out in hives. Allergy testing can be inaccurate at any age. We had AJ first tested at 9 months and it gave us a starting point. It was accurate for what it found at that time. As to the $1000 out of pocket for the Neocate. We paid for AJ's Neocate out of pocket for about 10 months. We switched docs and the new GI had her covered in two weeks. Your doctor plays a major factor in getting it covered. Neocate is main source of nutrition. AJ drinks it and is not tube fed and we still got it covered. Talk to your doc. Your story sounds so much like AJ's. Breast feeding, introducing food and then failure to thrive....feeding therapy.... AJ doesn't have sensory integration disorder, but, I think another child on the list, Clayton, does. I probably wasn't much help, but welcome.
