Guest guest
>>What reactions does your child have to apples?<< SEVERE abdominal pain and vomiting. If he had any other symptoms I can't remembere since the last reaction was four or five years ago. When he was ordered on to Prilosec, the only thing at the time it could be sprinkled on was apple sauce. I told the GI doc that Matt reacted to apples but they said just use a half teaspoon of applesauce. After he reacted, they talked with the Prilosec maker and came up with baby prunes as another option for it to be sprinkled on. The only thing that made the reaction better was a combo dose of Benadryl and Atarax. And he hasn't had any apples in about four years so he may have outgrown the allergy but I haven't asked for a food challenge yet.
