Guest guest
Hi Kat, I speak a little Spanish too. Mostly I learned to communicate in spanish for the welfare of my hospital patients that spoke Spanish. But, I am NOT fluent. a

Guest guest
Hi all, My tremors are worse in the morning...they are mostly in my hands although I have at times been shaky in my legs too. The tremors I get vary ...some days are worse than others very bad when I am stressed. My Doctor hasn't ever made any comment to me about them except one time and he told me to get a small rubber ball and squeeze it for exercise that this will strengthen my hands.....I tried it and it doesn't help the tremors any as far as strengthening I haven't noticed to much of a change there either. The tremors also got worse after my 2 surgeries in my neck...this was very noticable to me as I have more trouble holding onto things and I spill more if not careful when I have coffee or anything n a glass or cup. Just plain holding anything is somewhat of a task anymore...must be noticable to others too as I have had people ask me what was the matter at times when I was on the extreme shaky side. (that is what I call it on the worse days). Cathy CSCluv** http://community.webtv.net/cat926/CATHYSCOOLCATCORNER
Guest guest
Chance has the tremors in his hands. Sometimes t is very slight, but other times it is pretty bad. One time he was shaking so bad on his right had that he couldnt hold his spoon. He was really scared. It almost looked like he was having a seizure, but it was fom the CMT. Luckly that doesnt happen often. amy http://community.webtv.net/amy913/FromtheHeart

Guest guest
Hi, here. If you get the shakes when you haven't eaten that probable means your blood sugar is low. You may also want to have your DR. check for diabetes. People who have CMT may develop this. I Know I did.

I know we are alll different with our CMT, but, I was also told to get a ball and squeeze it to help strengthen my hands. At that time my hands were doing fine. It wasn't until after I started using a hand ballon pump (you squeeze a bulb in your hand to pump air) to make animal ballons that I lost the strength in my hands. The doctor that told me to do this was reading from the old medical books. The ones that say exercise to build muscle is what the patient needs. Instead of nowadays where you are to use caution so not to tire the muscle you have left. Please be careful..... Jeanie (from Oregon) Moonglow21@... Guest guest
Hi Peggie here. I have been checked for diabetes, twice, and I don't have it! From the sounds of some of the replies...... maybe it is just another CMT thing? I do know that food will stop these..... Re: Digest Number 237 > Hi, here. Helen MAry, I hope you will change your mind about our group and stay. Anyone, I have found a couple of really great things for yeast. One is yogurt and the other is acidopholis bifides, both were recommened my my family doctor. Also, most ofthe time when this is a problem, the bloos sugars are to high, so getting better control helps as well. Helen
