Guest guest
Are you talking about EDTA chelation to clean up the bloodstream? I have heard many good things about it. I would not use it for heavy metals. Carmen hard2doover wrote: > I just ran across this group and joined. Guest guest
EDTA is the ONLY FDA approved drug for treating LEAD. Guest guest
> EDTA is the ONLY FDA approved drug for treating LEAD. Actually DMSA is also approved for this indication. About 80% of all Rx's are for something that the drug isn't FDA approved for. Once a drug is approved for ONE thing, doc's can do pretty much anything with it they want. Guest guest
EDTA chelation is contraindicated in mercury-toxic individuals. Again $35 for Cutler book seems to be the best advice I could give. Had I had his book I would not have chelated with EDTA (in bed four days made me sick) or spent $1500 on DMPS (seems to have not affected me except to have made me sick for a few weeks). Getting out all mercury fillings seems smart. I have seen plenty of heart patients use EDTA who have had bypass, etc. They must not have same problems as I have, because it makes me very very sick. Guest guest
I have done EDTA, it does take some heavy metal but not like DMPS. Yes you need to have the mercury out of the teeth! EDTA I used for chelating ionic calcium plaque on the artery walls to keep the arteries open. All chelating has a specific purpose and protocal, when using EDTA for instance you may need to alternate every two or three treatments with IV vitamins and minerals and not do minerals supplementation on day of EDTA chelation, the minerals will get in the way of the EDTA and not allow it to work it's magic. Guest guest
Sorry, I think you haven't learned about DMSA, yet. Mark Werner wrote: > EDTA is the ONLY FDA approved drug for treating LEAD.
Guest guest
I am quite familiar with DMSA. But, I repeat, EDTA is the only drug approved for LEAD. Guest guest
> I am quite familiar with DMSA. > But, I repeat, EDTA is the only drug approved for LEAD. This is a false and incorrect statement. Please check the PDR, or talk to any pharmacist. DMSA is FDA approved for the treatment of lead intoxication in children. The only thing DMSA is approved for in the US is the treatment of lead intoxication. This is trivially easy to verify, so please do so. Andy . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
