Guest guest
To: Senator Dick Durbin From: Liz Armstrong 207 S. Cherry Street Lebanon, IL 62254 Dear Sir: I have contacted your office previously requesting that you support a budget increase for biomedical research. I am now requesting that you support two petitions filed the first week of January. You may review the content of these petitions at http://members.aol.com/larmstr853/cjdvoice/petition.htm " >FDA Petition . In my research of Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease [CJD] I have discovered over two dozen cases of this " rare disease " just in Illinois! Considering the statements of the Centers for Disease Control in that this disease effects one person per one million population, this is too high. Please do not underestimate the incidence of this disease. The current procedures utilized to monitor CJD will NOT enable any health agency to determine an accurate number of cases. Your anticipated support for these petitions as well as your personal response are appreciated. Sincerely, Liz Armstrong
