In the atkins book he says that you have to stay over 1200 calories to keep

your body from going into stavation mode, Then it keeps all the fat and you

will not lose. Even if your not hungry, eat a sensible breakfast, lunch and

dinner and have a couple leagal treats! And don't stay on induction levels

forever that can cause a stall too,

Hey !!

I am battling the flu too. Really stinks. Suffered a couple of days with no

cough drops and med because of sugar. I finally got some but DR. put me on

Codeine with real sugar. Oh well. Guess I will hang out for a while and see

what happens now.

But it is at least 1500. And also you need to have your 20 carbs.

That is why salad is so important or veggies....

I was stalled...and couldn't break it...and all I was eating was protein and

hardly any carbs.

I started to make sure I behaved and had veggies and salad every day, and

keep losing.

I did add metumucil (5 carbs) to my morning shake and dont count it because

it is ALL fiber...and still I seem to have broken the stall.

Another thing...when you do cheat....it usually takes til the second day for

your body to rebel and throw you out of whack....at least that is what doctor

told me...

Hi all, Well I am another one who is not losing, yet I think I am counting

carbs okay, etc. Drinking plenty of water (2-3 qts a day), no aspartame, no

caffeine, very little cheese, no Atkins Bars. I have been stalled for

months. Started WOL June 1, and have only lost 8 lbs. I walk 2-2.5 miles at

least 4x a week. I won't give up but I am baffled why I can't lose weight.

I counted my calories to be sure I was getting enough. Etc., etc., So, I

would love for you to tell me exactly what a typical menu for the day might

be for you. If you were able to break a stall maybe I could too if you share

your efforts with me. Thanks in advance. Teri

For breakfast I have an Atkins shake,

For lunch, yesterday, I had 2 hamburger patties with Ranch dressing on them,

fried cheese, 4 slices, With bacon melted in it

For dinner I had Sesame Chicken.

For a snack I had some cheese squares, and SF jello with Redi whip. I also

munch on some peanuts.

Cheese is not a bad thing, don't limit it, why don;t you list your menu and

maybe we can kinda nitpik it and see if there are some hidden carbs or

something,

Try uping your fat like mayo and cream cheese things

high in fat not to high in carbs but protien and

calories sounds like your not getting eanough in the

system. Eat the fat from the skin off of chicken any

animal fat helps you burn your fat I know sounds

wierd but it happen to me and someone gave me this

same advise and the next week I had lost 3 lbs. give

it a try add a scoop of tuna with lots of mayo to

your salad or chicken or egg salad to it make sure

there is lots of mayo.
