Ray/Rick, if some of us wanted to send a check...could you provide an address

for us? Even though it is almost always safe, I seldom use credit cards

through the Internet. Sorry to hear about the problem with identity theft. You

both

(and Matt/Jeff) have been very charitable in time and undertaking all

expenses.

Thank you very much. Connie

I feel so silly. I guess it was at the bottom of all the e-mails.......all

along. Wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Autumn Season and those of you who

are Jewish...a Blessed Rosh Hashanah. I pray that we will have a more peaceful

world this year. I'm anxiously awaiting my 2nd Humira shot this Tuesday. The

last two weeks have been the best days since 10 years ago, when I first started

to take narcotics for my pain levels. Three days after one shot, I could feel

the difference. Besides the pain, my muscles in my arms/upperback lost their

tenseness and soreness. My muscles and ligaments in my back, shoulders and arms

are no longer hard, painful, and swollen. I still have some problems...my hip

and my lower back starts to hurt if I do too much....but it is 80% better.

And by the song I wrote...you'll see why I have a little pain. This is set to

the Beverly Hillbillies song:

Come and listen to a story about a gal named Granny

A poor mountaineeress barely able to get off her little ouchy

Then one day she decided enough was enough

And up and wrote Abbott pharm a ceu ti cals.

Humira that is.

White liquid gold, Asheville TNF-a

Well the first thing you know ol' Ma's pulling weeds

Her hubby said she's been out dar for 'most 2 weeks.

If she had a horse she'd be galloping up the mountain

To show that she's finally able to do the autumn

trimming, that is.

Weed whacking!! Hedgetopping!!

Hi Ray. The paypal link for getting donations to RISG works very

well - it is both quick and easy. I hope your appeal is very

successful. Do you know if RISG is registered in Canada for

donations to be tax deductible?

Thanks to those who have contributed to RISG in the last two days.

If memory serves me correctly, those who have contributed are the same who have

contributed when funds have run low in the past. It sure would be nice if we

had a broader level of financial support from our membership. I encourage you

to think about how this group has benefited you and join others who wish to see

the ministry of this group continue.

It does not take much to keep the organization running. Small contributions can

make a significant difference in continuing the ministry of the group for

another week or month. We do not pay any of our volunteers, nor do we have

overhead costs like rent or utilities. Even without such expenses, it still

takes a little money to keep the organization running month to month.

Visit our web site www.risg.org where you can find directions for contributions

and information our group has gathered that might benefit you. Information

changes constantly with updates.

Sorry, Barry, we are not registered in Canada. However, I doubt that Canada

would fault you for listing such a donation as tax-deductible. And if they did,

I'd be rather concerned that they are making too much trouble for honest

citizens trying to support good causes.

Hi, This is R, formally of slc of so long ago. Just wanted to say that I wish

I could pay something, but my home just went on the market because I can no

longer pay the notes. AT the beginning, I was writing all the time, my atty.'s

have the notes. I am waiting to settle or go to trial...either way, can't

say too much except we have been able to trace this back to my unfaithful

husband, one time and a few std's later. Chlamydia was established in my charts,

hers and being the lofty heart surgeon he is he treated himself. I am part

German

and part Swedish. I have it pretty badly, have been recommended as fully

disabled. I have depleted savings that I could have lived on for the rest of my

life....(I happened to sit out one semester of school with no insurance because

of a torn disk diagnosis that I was told would go away in 6 months.) It hasn't

gone away yet. Go figure. I am thinking of making some type of inclusion of

acknowledgment of the disease a requirement and perhaps a public disclosure

about sex without condoms. Being a doc he is in the unique position of having

known better, admitted to many other " trysts " ---no condoms.....ever!

AS soon as I no longer have to accept help from family members (GOD willing)

I will send as I can...You were my lifeline back then, and have found a doc

here who has come online to check out the info. Anyone interested, I can give

his " normal scripts " for people with fibro. He is one of the top ten

researchers in the country. I actually have times of NO PAIN!!!!!!

He has promised to help with the additional diagnoses as well. In his words

" Can't wait to get a scan of your head! " I understand when I was in the hospt

once for a reaction of a drug, I had a frontal lobotomy so severe, they

ASSumed I must be a serious drug abuser and or alcoholic and that was before the

drugs! Can't wait to see myself!!

sorry so long, (meth)Thanks for letting me vent. I promise not to forget you.

May try a few things earlier but may be limited due to the lawsuit.......R

Rena,

THank you for your desire to help financially. Please do not feel obligated to

do so. And please do not feel like you have to apologize. There are plenty of

members who can afford a small donation to keep the list financially solvent.

It takes very little funds to run the non-profit organization RISG.ORG, but just

like a car, we can't run on empty.

If anyone would like to donate through direct mail or Pay Pal go to www.risg.org

and scroll down to the financial area. OR: Your contribution to RISG.ORG is tax

deductible.

Credit Card or PayPal http://www.risg.org/contributions.htm

An enormous Thank You! to those who have given to keep our ministries running.

This support group list is only one form of online help. Check out the other

forums available to you at www.risg.org, as well as links to websites offering

information of interest to members on many topics.

Please remember that all suggestions, experiences shared, treatments some

members have found success with, and chronic pain management, should be

discussed with your doctor(s) before you take any actions. We are an adjunct to

your medical care and we recognize the doctor-patient relationship as the most

important source of information and treatment available to you.

Hi all

I'm sort of in the same boat right now. Don't even have enough for groceries,

but am trying to redirect myself. Am refinancing my house to dig myself out and

for other reasons. I'll have extra cash and hopefully no bills except for the

mortgage. So, sometime after next week I can send something. I was diagnosed

by a fluke nearly four years ago and within a few weeks I found RISG. Everyone

has been wonderful and I've learned so much. It certainly was no thanks to my

doctor. He hasn't been any help. He just knew he'd seen my feet somewhere in

the medical book. Thanks for everything!

Walter,

THat's the best kind of " donation " anyone can make! Telling others about

RISG.ORG, whether it is family that needs to understand, newly diagnosed folks

that don't understand what the doctor said, or " oldsters " like me who didn't

even know that such an organization existed before I went 'online.'

Your help is needed!

The CBS coverage of the IOM press conference is being run in several markets

nationwide, shedding light on the relationship between thimerosal containing

vaccines and the neurodevelopmental disorders from which so many children

now suffer. We need to see that this story gets as much air time as

possible while it's hot. You could help by contacting the health reporter

at your local CBS station and requesting that they run this piece. They can

make it resonate more within your community by following up the story as

provided by the network with an interview including a local parent of a

child adversely affected by thimerosal. It would be best to already have

someone in mind who could be available should the reporter want to pursue

this with a local interview. You could volunteer yourself or enlist the

help of other affected families in your area who would be willing to speak

with a reporter.

The countless families devastated by thimerosal deserve to have this story

told as often as possible. Together we can work to see that the interest

level continues to grow among the media until the citizens of this country

finally know the truth.
