This is new for us. He has never had these problems We see the Ped GI Monday at

12:45.

Did you find anything that helped besides the steroids?

We all have these symptoms and strangely enough, the biopsies WHILE these

sympotms are active always show lots of eos ONLY in the esophagus. I'm not

sure why these " gastric " type symptoms when the problems are only in the

esophagus. One doc did tell me that as the entire GI tract is connected, if

one part is sick, they are all sick.

I'd bet he's got big time eos inflammation in his esophagus. Prednisone

will help short term.

We've learned that a short high dose of steroids works best in the beginning

when the symptoms are severe. It knocks it out in a couple of days and

brings things back to baseline... then the trick for us is NOT EATING..
