Guest guest
julie, We all have these symptoms and strangely enough, the biopsies WHILE these sympotms are active always show lots of eos ONLY in the esophagus. I'm not sure why these " gastric " type symptoms when the problems are only in the esophagus. One doc did tell me that as the entire GI tract is connected, if one part is sick, they are all sick. I'd bet he's got big time eos inflammation in his esophagus. Prednisone will help short term. Steph. Guest guest
We've learned that a short high dose of steroids works best in the beginning when the symptoms are severe. It knocks it out in a couple of days and brings things back to baseline... then the trick for us is NOT EATING..
