Guest guest
Hi everyone -- First I wanted to thank everyone for their notes of concern and well wishes. had another scope done today to replace the defective Surgi-Tek button. Everything went well and here's what we ended up with ) We are again using a Mic-Key. It is an 18 fr 1.7 cm and will hopefully last a LONG time ). We're hoping that since she had previously has a 2.0 cm mic-key that this one will be shorter and not cause the ulcer problem. As far as the granulation tissue response we'll just have to wait and see. At least this button has a balloon and won't require general anesthesia to change it out )!!!! After hearing everyone elses experiences and leaky button stories I think we should all put our heads together though and come up with a new button design. We could then all retire and move to the Bahamas ) Take care everyone and thanks again!!!! Sincerely, Cindy -- in Colorado mommy to 7, 6 and 2 (former FTT, SID, g-tube fed with Neocate, hypotonia, orally aversive, undiagnosed food allergies, but getting cuter all the time)
