It would be really hard to sell this diet if hey couldn't " scare " people away from Atkins. There are just way too many people doing this WOE without problems from ketosis for it to be unsafe. Guest guest Posted November 10, 1999 Report Share Posted November 10, 1999 I've been checking those sticks every day since I started on Oct 4th and find I'm rarely in ketosis and when I am, it's just a trace. I keep a food diary and haven't been able to correlate this with any foods. But I'm losing weight, so decided not to worry about it. Maybe when I run out of these sticks, I won't buy any more and just concentrate on whether I'm losing or not. (I'm a lawyer...there's always another hand ) I know of folks who are only able to " register " on the ketostix first thing in the morning. I'm guessing that it's something about concentration?
