WOW, such negativity here!!! I guess it is a heavy metal toxicity

board after all. Not one person seems happy for me that I feel so

good. Yes, I STILL feel great. I felt much better after each round of

chelation. But now after the third one, I feel extremely good. Also I

had zero bad effects during or after the last chelation.

If I was so sure I was done I wouldn't be asking people if they think

I am done.

So far, however, my chelation has been a huge success for me because

my symtoms are gone and I feel better than I have in 10 years.

BTW, I've also taken saunas every day for 1.5 years and eat a 100%

raw diet, lots of vegetable juice, wheatgrass, etc.

Hey Pete............Congratulations. With all the stuff you've done to get

well, maybe you are completely chelated. You deserve to feel as good as you do!

Well - happy for you if its gone - really am - but most of us don't feel

good. Should be good enough that you feel good for yourself unless you

are trying to be encouraging. Otherwise good for you. I'm not negative -

just cautious. Your responses aren't making me feel real enthusiastic,

however, being called negative. Not sure what you want here. Jeanie

Pete - sorry - crabby (again). I think the raw diet and all that probably

sped up your progress. I'm disgusted with myself and am weaning off pain

meds and muscle relaxants after a horrible back spell. For some reason on

drugs I have no control over my eating and I've had lots of chocolate (after

well meaning friends brought over dinners with scrumptious deserts) and it

doesn't fare well with me during my PMS cycle plus its a full moon tomorrow.

So... Your self control is mildly irritating to me as well as everything

else including my husband. He has a psychology paper due and has had to

help me so much with my back problems that he is crabby cause its mad him

get behind so I'm sulking and emailing. Tomorrow is a new day. I froze

half the chocolate decadent cake and will feed it to the missionaries we are

feeding in a week or so. I also ate dairy today and am stuffed up from

that. On a positive note, your self control is inspiring and makes me want

to do better. I have to eat right for a while and then start back into the

detoxing I was doing in order to get ready to chelate which my back episode

threw me off from after overdoing it. If I'm rambling its cause its a full

moon and I've had chocolate so I need to go be nice to my husband. Valium -

which I've had a lot of for extreme muscle spasms, makes me lose my libido,

too, so that is probably partly what my husbands problem is - plus he is in

the army and worried about impending war. Well - voicing all this has

helped me straighten out my attitude. Thanks for sharing your success and

helping motivate the rest of us. There is hope!! Jeanie

Hi, I am happy for you and I am sure the entire egroup is too. However, your

reaction is so atypical that I think the response is to be expected. This is

probably the most positive, enlightened and friendly egroup alive. I think

people know something about the science of removing mercury. Three rounds

just could not do it. If you are feeling good, that is great. Some people get

a " high " on ALA. I have had a few myself (a few.)

As for me, I fear that there might be a gigantic letdown that might provoke

feelings of despair in you later on, and I don't know you or how well you can

cope with giant letdown.

I have a great example. I have CFS and MCS and some other problems. I did a

round of prednisone, called a taper, described in the Cutler book (with my

doctor who actually reads his book) and I thought " I am well. " Actually I had

benefitted from the first and only such incidence (tried it again months

later and it did not work) and so naturally my plans for a new life, with

productivity (ahhh productivity) were dashed.

So, based on science, knowing selves, human nature, I doubt that three or

four rounds of chelation are going to make you go from very sick to very

well. You may very well be one of the rare people who does feel very well on

large doses of ALA, every three hours, with at least as many days OFF as ON.

I'd email AndyCutler@... and tell him of your phenomenon and see what he

says. I don't know if he will respond. He is very positive, after all, it is

his protocol.

How sick were you when you started? Perhaps we have an anomaly in our group,

and you are in fact feeling better and that would go on indefinitely. I

certainly hope so, as I am sure all people would hope. Realistically, people

who are mercury toxic have cart-loads of problems that take about 2 years to

resolve if they are of a serious nature. Very best to you. I am sure the

egroup backs that up.

I'd be cautious about telling a non-swimmer that for one second the water is

great, only to see him drown a few minutes later. So that sort of thinking

might be motivating what might be perceived as negativity. I really wish you

the best. SJ

Wrong, it is called ramping I think, not a taper. I always say that wrong. SJ

Andy's book on pg. 29 refers to complications by other toxins. " Mercury

intoxication is often complicated by lead or arsenic. Nickel is usually

elevated in hair samples.....there are no distinctive laboratory test

abnormalities for arsenic...... "

My own son has a mercury, AND arsenic problem and he had cancer as I have

mentioned at age 21.

I do not know how Pete tested for Mercury, but I do know that it LURKS. Even

if he had only lead, arsenic or cadmium problems, I would still be careful to

support the individual with information that does not assist him in a

" crash. " Some people don't emerge alive from their crashes. I am having a

bad, day, cannot think or spell, but I do feel that three rounds of chelation

is simply too questionable for group applause just now.

I am certainly no expert. We should address Andy or Moria. SJ

Telling others that DMSA +ALA worked so well for me is very

encouraging to all.

I have noticed a big difference by adding the ALA to the DMSA....I am now on

my seventh round of chelation, and added ALA these last two rounds.

The ALA definately helps me think more clearly....but I suspect that with

chelation I just keep dumping these metals into a messed up body, because

the better my head starts to feel, the worse my body feels.

I have an eight year history of severe constipation, and just ignored that

while I struggled so hard to get by these years. Getting better takes a lot

of work and discipline, and I was just too busy taking care of everyone

else. In hindsight, I think that if I had worked on the severe constipation

and other physical problems while looking for the cause of my illness,

instead of just looking for the cause, I'd have been ahead of the game too,

like Pete.

Pete is absolutely right....chelation does work! And that is the ultimate

purpose and goal of this group....to report our SUCCESSES, so that others

may benefit from our experiences.

SJ,

Pete also made it very clear that he did NOT have a mercury problem, but

rather a lead, arsenic and cadmium problem. Most on this list assume

adult-metal-chelation applies to mercury poisoning only.

Mercury is the most toxic non-radioactive metal known to man. Those with a

mercury problem are going to take longer to heal.

Some people

get

a " high " on ALA. I have had a few myself (a few.)

As for me, I fear that there might be a gigantic letdown that might provoke

feelings of despair in you later on, and I don't know you or how well you

can

cope with giant letdown.

I have a great example. I have CFS and MCS and some other problems. I did a

round of prednisone, called a taper, described in the Cutler book (with my

doctor who actually reads his book) and I thought " I am well. " Actually I

had

benefitted from the first and only such incidence (tried it again months

later and it did not work) and so naturally my plans for a new life, with

productivity (ahhh productivity) were dashed.

I really wish you

the best. SJ

Also, Pete never even stated that he had documented evidence of metal

poisoning....i.e., urine testing, hair analysis, etc. He only stated that he

was EXPOSED to lead, arsenic and cadmium. Perhaps he was not even metal

poisoned in the first place!

Most of us start chelation after getting the results back from testing which

shows high levels of metals....especially mercury.

If Pete really wants to know if he is done chelating, he should either

repeat heavy metal testing (if he has already done so), or get a heavy metal

test done in the first place.

No problem Pete : ) I was hoping not to need drugs today, but here goes the

pain and spasms. I will try something new and unique today and actually

stay home and take care of myself : ) I am going to eat right today, too.

Pete says he feels well. I don't think he should spend any money on

tests unless he his really curious.

REGARDING LEAD: Lead can accumulate in your bones. So, your

chelation rounds might have quickly removed it from your blood and

tissues. However, if you have lead in you bones, it might slowly

leach out into your blood and tissues again and some symptoms may

return. In this scenario, chelating NOW would be a waste of money.

However, you might consider doing a round or three every three OR six

months. On the positive side, you could just do nothing unless

symptoms return --perhaps they wont.

PS I tried to make this post positive. I don't think I used the " N "

word that upsets some people (you know, negativity, Opps!). :)

I gotta say, , I love all your helpful comments. Lots of POSITIVE

contributions : ) Unlike mine. I'm on drugs ok? Trying hard to back off

this stuff but my back is still giving me fits. I did better today, though.

Was in great pain this morning so to try and walk around took a vicodin with

parafon forte - then a little later half a valium cause it wasn't doing much

and I conked on my zero gravity recliner in the living room. My husband

said I was over there talking and laughing. Its like I'm dreaming I'm with

the family while they really are in there. This stuff must build up in your

system. I just want to get over this so I can detox and then start

chelating and REALLY detox. I have an MRI scheduled this week and get

cracked afterward (will probably be in pain from the MRI so thats good).

Also supposed to start physical therapy which may help. I gotta tell you

guys, too, my dentist finally got in touch with my osteopath and they are

finally on the letter to TRICARE and working together on my case and trying

to get me the help I need with adjunctive medical care (through dental). So

good things are happening. Just tired of being a lump and not accomplishing

a dang thing - but I guess all that is something. Jeanie
