Hi - said it would be ok to join and post this message....

I was wondering if a new section for Diabetes on my website RemedyFind migh=

t be of

interest to the board members?

A little background. Remedyfind is a free, international and unbiased site =

(not sponsored

by any drug companies etc.) that lets individuals rate the effectiveness of=

the treatments

they have used for specific health conditions. I started it 3 years ago to=

try to find help

with treatments for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (which I=82ve had for some 20 ye=

ars). After

doing the CFS section I realized the same approach could also work for oth=

er chronic

health conditions, and so the site has now grown to cover some 30 condition=

s and has

some 45,000 members and newsletter subscribers. After a number of requests=

I=82ve just

this week added a section for Diabetes. More than 200 treatments are curren=

tly listed =88

from insulin therapies and medications for neuropathic pain to diets, nutri=

tional

supplements etc. (and please suggest others that should be included). Here=

is the page

for the Diabetes section -

http://remedyfind.com/hc-diabetes.asp

Obviously everyone is different, and what works for one person with Diabete=

s won=82t

necessarily work for another, but my hope is that certain trends might show=

themselves

over time, and after hundreds or thousands of patient ratings. In the futur=

e we will be

adding features that allow users to view ratings according to specific dia=

gnoses and

subtypes, as well as according to gender, age etc.. In the meantime, membe=

rs say that it

is simply helpful to hear other parent / patient accounts of what has, or h=

asn=82t, worked for

them.

We=82d be honored by any Diabetes treatment experiences you care to share =88 g=

ood, bad or

ugly! As the section is brand new it really doesn't have many treatment rat=

ings posted yet

and I=82m just trying to get word out to as many individuals / groups as poss=

ible. The site is

free and members can be as anonymous as they would like - you choose your o=

wn

member name and your contact information is not shared with anyone.

All the best,

Brett Hodges

(I have added a and link to, and a listing for, All Diabetic International =

on this page (where

the group can actually be rated for its helpfulness) -
