Guest guest
Thanks Andy and Moria. I called Cardiovascular Research and I reported to A-M-C the " hairball-keratin " example given to me on the phone. I asked Cardiovascular Research to send the research they told me they had. Yesterday I received their catalog in the mail, and the same stuff that appears on the net regarding Metachel. No research on Metachel at all. The net does list the ingredients, but that is about it. I would not take it myself because it contains carrot fiber, which does speed up phase I. So for me the product has always been " out. " I really found nothing substantial when I looked for keratin research and I posted what I found to AMC. Due to my insufficient background in science and chemistry, I think that I did begin to wonder if Metachel might assist in some degree to chelate mercury. I am glad that Andy Cutler was kind enough to comment on this subject, because from time to time product manufacturers make claims the majority of us cannot refute. Doctors who have not been properly trained may make honest mistakes. Amalgam Illness has created an awkward transitional situation for patients and physicians. Research trials were not used on Metachel to my knowledge. CR and EF reported verbally that " existing research " was used to develop the product. I think the logic might sound good to uneducated doctors and patients. I consider myself an uneducated patient because I did not go to medical school, etc. I am trying to learn, however. Many of us are searching for answers. Moria Merriwether set up this site, and for that I feel that I owe my improved health. Cutler himself has transcended the ADA's ineptitude, greed, indifference, and he has done much of the work the FDA should have been doing. His work has changed the course of my illness. I believe the Cutler book, Cutler protocol and Cutler responses are as far as I personally need to look. I posted all the research I could locate (even half-asleep cow teat stuff 8-) and I was hopeful that the product Metachel might work to some degree as a possible " assist " . I now believe that spending money on it would be wasted money. I have spent alot of time and alot of money on unrecognized Amalgam Illness. The money best spent has been to purchase Cutler's book. The protocol that is working for me is the Cutler protocol. I have doubled my activities, and now I am beginning to be less chemically sensitive. I do get very tired if I go significantly outside the now-larger box, but I do not relapse after activity. I have been mercury free and chelating properly only since May and I continue to maintain the ability to do some actitivities each day that I could not do last year. Previous to finding Moria and Cutler, I had a hopeless condition. Again the protocol that I have used is to remove all amalgam in fillings, under crowns or in root canal tips, use IV's of C is you can after amalgam removals; ok if you cannot, use the supplement protocol in Cutler's book, begin using DMSA four days after ALL fillings are out, and use that for about 90 (?) days. ALA can be used at that time, and then ALA may be used alone in rounds, or used in rounds with DMPS oral, which must be obtained using script. DMSA oral can be bought from vrp.com. Initial symptoms are not fun, but the party seems to begin a few months later when many people recognize that their CFS, MCS, FM, ME have improved. For me, the improvement is already substantial. We are very fortunate to have Andy Cutler answer these important questions regarding products from companies such as Cardiovascular Research or Ecological Formulas, for example. These companies sell stuff that does work within the Cutler protocol of supplements, so we have to research what we are taking. If one needs to find various forms of vitamin C, one from tapioca, one from some other source, these companies do provide that, for example. They sell other stuff you might use in the Cutler compliment of supplements. But everything they sell does not do what they suggest that it might do. Spending time and money with fillings still in place continues illness, and also continues the AMA charade that amalgams render mercury " inert. " You can't get well if you don't get em out. More of us need to get well with the Cutler research and begin to contact the FDA regarding our illnesses and improvements. I don't mind looking stuff up on the internet, but that is going to amount to " stuff found on the internet. " I recognize that we should all thank Andy ocassionally for answering questions that come up. I want to keep an open mind, but I continue to think that going to noamalgam.com, buying and following Cutler's book is the most sensible thing to do. At my current rate of improvement I think I will be almost well as I would have been without the fillings, (minus the autoimmune component that caused arthritic damage at age 19 and many lost years) once I have completed two years of the protocol. Thanks again Andy and Moria. SJ
