Guest guest
Hi , Welcome abroad! I'm also quite new here. I'm type II and on insulin with both Actrapid and Insulartard twice a day. Sorry to hear about yr recent illness, hope things are getting better on your side. Anyway, not to worry much, there is alot of kind and knowledgeable members in this yahoo group, I'm sure they will provide all the information you need. I personally do not know much about pancreatitis until I visited thepancreatitisplace website. It seem that you belong to Type I diabetics(which mean your pancreas produces little or no insulin) And after reading about the symptoms of pancreatits, I just remember that I used to have the same problem too... but nowsday it happen less often except when I go on binge eating and causes pain in abdomen. Maybe I need to check wih my doctor too ;-p.... Anyway,God bless you and take care! Bruce from Singapore [alldiabeticinternational] Re: New to this Great Group!~*~~*~ Hello , Welcome to ADI. So very glad that you are here. I am sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time. My husband, , has been dealing with pancreatitis for the past 15 1/2 years and with diabetes for the past 10 years, so I know a little of what you are going through. Did you have neropathy in your foot before them taking it off? is having a bad time with his feet/legs now. He has neropathy in them. The veins are sticking out on them and they are swelling. I would like to know more about that. Thanks ~*~~*~ deniseatdiabetes@... As far as being type 1 or type 2 my doctor says that I am a diabetic because I damaged my Pancreas when I developed chronic Pancreatitis back in 1988. So he says that I do not fit the mold for either one. I take long acting U and quick acting Novolog both twice a day. It is hard for me to balance my blood levels because my pancreas works better some days and not so good other days. I have had many problems due to my diabetes the latest was having my left foot amputated due to a sever infection in my toes. I hope that I can learn alot from you all and I hope that I can also help someone as well. > God Bless You all! > Karns >
