I think it is considered safe during pregnancy, but can understand your reluctance to take anything that might harm the baby. I had a letter from someone reguarding something to do during the last trimester to help with the baby's digestive system.... I hope they will post that here.. I will try to find that letter, but deleted a lot because of the virus.....Didn't want to take any chances... I will definitely ask my GI that when I talk with him today. Is Celiac's something you have from the start or can you develop it? Karson was fine for his first 3 months. I just talked to my GI he wants to see Karson tomorrow morning for x-rays to see why he is so constipated. He was pretty short with me on the phone, he makes me feel like he no longer wants to treat Karson. He did say Do you work outside the home? I'm a teacher and we have to drive 2 hours to the dr. With all his appointments I'm running out of leave time. I was off 7 weeks when he was in the hospital and after he got home to care for him. How do you do it? I'm starting to get really stressed out. (mom to Karson) [eosinophilic gastroenteritis] EG I also breast fed Alyssa for 18 mon. and she has EG,EE and EC and noone could give me a answer on how she got this I have been told some many things that I have gave up trying figure to how she got this to just focusing on how to deal with it, as far and all the sinus infections,URI and all that I have asked if it is connected and the GI said yes the ped. said he didn't know and the ENT said no but I have never heard of EG before, so you have your answers I don't know, apparently the bone spurs in the sinus cavities is caused from the prednisone, and the infection is caused possible by allergies and there is nothing that can help, so that is what I have been told, On the thought of leaky tubes Zevex told me to pass this along if anyone has this problem contact your supplier Alyssa has had to have 2 tubes replaced this month from leaky valves and finally I complained a rep came out to the house and looked at it and said yes it is leaking like i didn't know that, they took one back to the maker and said they didn't know why it was leaking but it was she said that we were the only family that complained and if there were more to come forward all buttins will be replaced free of charge and all Thanks , Tina ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get paid for the stuff you know! Guest guest Posted April 13, 2000 Report Share Posted April 13, 2000 Hi , I don't know if anyone answered your question about EE and EC. EE is Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Eo's in the Esophagus. EC is Eosinophilic Colitis, Eo's in the Colon. Doctors sure can be a pain..... I hope you just caught him in a bad moment... It is hard enough having a child who is sick without having to deal with a doctor who is not understanding..... Does this doctor have any other patients with EG? I know I have frustrated even my favorite doctor because I have come up with information about this disease. Most of them don't like that unfortunately.... But they don't live with the child who has it or themselves live with the pain... Here on this list you have so many experiences to draw from. He would have to have a very large base of EG patients to even begin to know all that you can learn from other Moms who have children with this disease. I hope all goes well tomorrow.
