Guest guest
Is progesterone cream available without a prescription and if so where? My doctor has given it to me before orally and I do remember that in those years I did fare better; currently my HMO has given me testosterone cream, but I was not then on the Cutler protocol and I simply stopped using it. Going to my doctor to get progesterone, or getting it for my mother would involve a long HMO wait for me, and for my mother, some maneuvering because she lives in a nursing home out of state. Because of my MCS I cannot tolerate petroleum derivatives that are usually used in creams so I would have to find out about the contents. Thanks, SJ

Guest guest
I've found Pro-gest in health food stores. However, when my doctor wanted me to use progesterone cream, he had me order from Beyond A Century, Inc. which formulates a number of supplements. I've also used their magnesium orotate and their colostrum. www.beyond-a-century.com Marcia
Guest guest
A cheap source of Pro-Gest from the U.S. http://www.vitacost.com/Store/Products/ProductDescription.cfm? SKUNumber=356163301004 ...... Pure-gest is natural progesterone cream, like Pro-gest, only without the chemical preservatives and other chemicals in it. A friend of mine uses the Pure-gest because of the above reason, I don't know where to get it, so you have to do a search. ...... My doctor was strict about me using any type of progesterone cream, he said Pro-Gest only. Many makers of progesterone creams put additional herbs in it. Like Ginger or other such herbs. Looks good at first but if you use them and get a bad reaction then you don't know if you are reacting to the progesterone dosage or the extra herbs they put in. There are various ways of taking it, you really need to use it only during the weeks your low in the hormone. It is best to take a test for it. I had a blood test done that showed my progesterone was low all the time. So I had to take this cream every day, even through my bleeding. After 6 months I didn't need it. Six months after that I am on it again. It is a blessing. I am hoping that chelating this mercury will put my hormones in a better balance. Additional findings are with women whose progesterone is low, it is very likely the thyroid is low. My doctor supplemented me with thyroid also. Soon another doctor told me to stop the thyroid and take alfalfa along with digestive enzymes. It would support my mineral balance as well as my thyroid. And I am off the prescription and my thyroid blood tests are great! One of my first symptoms that I need to start using the cream again is that my hair starts falling out.
