Since you did not say how much you weigh, I can't compare 1/8 capsule [about 12 mg] to this recommendataion. Unless you are a pretty small person, 12 mg would be below the recommendation of Andy's. Still, I think it would be okay to do this, I don't see any problem with it. 1/4 capsule might be more effective. I'd also recommend taking supplements while doing this, such as milk thistle and vitamin C. best wishes, Moria
Guest guest
Elspeth, How many rounds of DMSA 100mg did you try? I didn't feel worse on this protocol until my fifth round. I started getting headaches, mostly. And one pupil got slightly larger than the other. I am going to add ALA to my next round....starts at 7 pm tonight, and see if that helps. Guest guest
Is it okay to start with 100mg ALA, or should I try 50mg first? Guest guest
I reccomend starting off slowly. I started with 30 mg and felt the effects -I'm a 200+ lb man. You can always increase the dose in the future. Also, doubling the dose only increases mercury removal by about 40% and, of course, is more expensive. - > Is it okay to start with 100mg ALA, or should I try 50mg first? > > Dana >
Guest guest
Thanks ! I'll start with 50mg, since I only have then in 50 and 100 mg sizes. Guest guest
Moria, Many thanks for the info. I am 112 lb so 1 capsule a day seems perfect. I'll try it out at the end of the week and cross my fingers. Guest guest
I just took my first round of ALA with DMSA 100mg, at 7:00. I decided to go with 100mg ALA and cut back right away if I noticed any side effects. So I laid in bed for an hour and a half waiting for the big migraine or negative side effects to come on.... BUT: So far, so good....I am REALLY liking the 100mg ALA! I am on my sixth round of DMSA. I wish I added the ALA last round! Guest guest
That is where I started. It is worth a try in my mind. Be watchful in case you have a problem with DMSA instead of the chelation. It is normal to have some of the same symptoms that you get with the mercury, but it shouldn't bother you after the first couple of days after a chelation cycle. I guess yeast could be a problem, too. I haven't figured how to deal with this very well, yet. I just try to keep it from going crazy. Guest guest
Carmen! I've been wondering about you. Didn't realize you were on this group. I'm trying to get going again. How are you doing? I know of a product that is great with yeast called Clear through this multi-level marketing program. Similar to the stuff thats in Hulga s recipes only all in one pill (unless she has packaged products now - I use to go from the book). I need to start taking it myself. Its actually for parasites, but also helps clear up yeast. Can't even think of the name of the company (and I'm a distributor but only the get the products cheaper). Awareness products! Good stuff. I've been told before I was trying to clean too many systems or whatever at once, but if you help clean up the bugs as you chelate that seems like it would be good. If they indeed feed on mercury. At least it would keep them at bay till you got rid of their sources. Any comments on that? Jeanie Re: DMSA protocol That is where I started. It is worth a try in my mind. Guest guest
You'd have to provide more detail of what you were doing and how exactly you got sick for me to say anything useful. Andy . . . . . . . .. . > > I have tried taking DMSA 100mg every 4 hours for 3 days and it just > made me sick. 4 weeks later I don't think I have completly > recovered. > I am thinking of trying 1/8th of a capsule every 4 hours so that I > would be taking 1 capsule a day. > Does anyone know if this is a good idea or whether it would create > more problems. Guest guest
Jeanie, I'm about 30% better than when I had my amalgams out. I'm still fighting the cancer as well as gut and sinus bugs. I can get rid of the bugs, but they just come back. If Andy is right, they will disappear whenever I get chelated enough. I'm glad you're going to get going again.
