Cranberry juice is good for urinary tract infections, including kidney and

bladder. It has nothing to do with the yeast infection. There are some over

the counter remedies for yeast but the best one that I have used is the

perscription Diflucan. Sometimes, one dose is not sufficient.

My urologist told me that the best thing to drink for both UTI's and kidney

problems is water. I know that cranberry juice is also great but I was told to

dilute it with lots of water. The less sugar kind still has the sweet taste

and tang even when diluted.

Cranberry juice is bitter, what takes the bitterness out? Will this

help with the yeast infections? It does not sound like it if you have

to keep running to pee all the time. Is this more catch 22?

I forget where but someone on one of my lists said they found some low carb

sugar free cranberry juice in a grocery store. Some cant take how strong

cranberry juice is. A friend of mine mixes hers half and half with water. If you

can get the sugar free and need it sweetend more you can always use splenda or

something. fran

Yes, cranberry juice is high in sugar, but, is one of

the best things for the kidneys.

Fran if you can get this information it would be a big help to me and

others out there. Does cutting it in half help as much as drinking it

whole or do you have to drink double to get the benefit?

I have no idea where to look for the post. But I just looked up this.

http://www.oceanspray.com/prod_light.asp Hope this helps. fran

Ocean Spray® Light Juice Drinks have 2/3 fewer calories and 2/3 fewer carbs

than traditional fruit juice drinks, but we've left in all the stuff you can

feel good about. Like the 100% vitamin C your body needs and, of course, the

great Ocean Spray cranberry and grapefruit flavors you love. With only 40

calories per 8 oz. serving, Ocean Spray® Light Juice Drinks are the perfect

alternative for those who want to cut calories and carbs without sacrificing

taste. And with 2/3 less sugar, they are also a smart choice for those with

diabetes. Ocean Spray® Light Juice Drinks: no artificial preservatives,

flavorings, or colorings; just all the goodness and refreshment you expect from

Ocean Spray.

Hi Jolene, no, this one makes no sense to me because of the sodium content.

I will pass it over to my friend with the kidney transplant. She is really up

on it, believe me! Hugs, Marilyn
