Guest guest
The Wrinkle Cure by Dr N Perricone, MD. Dermatologist. Suggests you take 100mg per day in divided doses with breakfast and dinner. Re: Perricone/ALA Hi Rana, How much ALA does your mom take? Does she take it orally (or put it on skin)? Guest guest
Moria, I'm thinking she takes like one or two 100mg per day and uses the creme on her face. It's not in the same huge doage as chelation but I did here someone on this list mention people hurt byPerricones protocol for being young, and I know my mom has used it so I was wondering what everyone knew about it?? Hi Rana, 100 mg once or twice a day is certainly enough to be dangerous for someone who is mercury toxic. Not everyone responds horribly to " random " dosing (that is, doses farther apart than every 3 hours for ALA) === but many people DO respond horribly, and get more poisoned. Also if she has amalgams that is a problem. It is the amount PER DOSE that I would consider here. For example, I used 100 mg per dose for many rounds. The ALA on her face is probably okay, I don't know how much is absorbed transdermally though.... best wishes, Moria
Guest guest
100mg per 4 hours for 3 days is the dose that damaged me. I think it's the amount of mercury in your body that determines whether you get brain damage or not, many people do not because they don't have mercury poisoning. Glen. Guest guest
Many months ago, before I did any research and first stumbled upon the notion that I *might* have mercury poisoning from the eight amalgams in my mouth and the dental fillings in my appendix....and before I had my amalgam removed or my appendix removed....before I did ANY research at all....I read somewhere about ALA being good for mercury poisoning. It was easily available at health food stores, so I went and bought a bottle of 50 mg. tabs. About an hour after taking one, I got the worst headache of my life!!! I later learned that ALA crosses the BBB and that I had probably chelated mercury right up into my brain! That right then and there made me KNOW that mercury was my problem, and that chelators were very powerful. Now....I am doing DMSA every four hours for three days, with four days off. I hope to add ALA in the future....but will proceed with caution. Dana on 12/05/2002 4:42 PM, Glen at stratusc@... wrote: 100mg per 4 hours for 3 days is the dose that damaged me. Yup. Caution and common sense are the rule among those who manage to get better. Andy . . . .. . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . .
