Mollie --

You should tell him that I had my cholesterol checked in November of last

year. It was 207 -- the doc said it was " borderline. " Last month I had it

checked again, after 2 and a half months on this wol, and it was down to 185.

My doc is thrilled.

Hugs,

That is wonderful!! Makes ya feel good to know not only are you doing

something nice for the outside, but something great is going on, on the

inside as well. I do need to have mine checked too.

What I tell people is give it the 2 weeks and see if you dont lose weight.

Then when they do lose, I tell them now stay on it a few more weeks and have

their blood checked and just see if their readings arent better!! They are!!

Then thats when I say... NANANNANNANA I TOLD YOU SO----LOL!!

Molly --

I must admit that I know how your hubby feels. I've been thoroughly

indoctrinated by the low-fat philosophy (it didn't work, mind you, but I've

been thoroughly indoctrinated) that although I can see and feel the results

of this woe in my own body, my brain is still having a little trouble

catching up. Honestly, that's why I had the recent cholesterol test done.

Eating low fat, my cholesterol had been hovering in the borderline area,

slowly rising. So, in spite of the fact that there are still doubt in the

very cognitive part of my brain, I'm committed to this woe. I know it works.

My SO is still looking for empirical data -- some study which shows that

this woe truly works. She's crazed by all of the anecdotal information

Atkins, the Eadeses, the Hellers, and even Schwarbein use in their books.

Alas.

Congrats on the moderator thing!
