Guest guest
Hi Jolene. Way to go! Loosing 51 lbs. since April is quite a feat. I bet you feel like a new person. My Dad was from Virginia and I can remember having breakfast at my Grandmother's house. The table was full of everything from biscuits & gravy to fried apples. What a spread! Those were the good old days. Keep up the good work. God Bless,

I am just starting to feel some of the effects -- numb fingertips, and it appears my aches and pains in my legs are coming back, knees and hips. I am taking a b complex... Still looking for Calcium magnesium, though have not looked in GNC or other health food store. Have a GNC in the mall and another one that I can't think of the name right now. My back doesn't really bother me anymore and I can handle it with Tylenol, didn't want to get to rely on the percocet so that is good. I do have one little problem that rather bugs me but is controllable. They talked about mouth sores, but I have not really sores but something in my nose... Could be part of my allergy, but I think it is chemo related. My nose gets really stuffy and I blow it and it is partly really nasty looking snot, and blood... Is more annoying than anything. What I need to get is some saline nose drops, which I forgot yesterday when I went to Walmart... Grrrr. Dread going out today but traffic is not bad, good portion of crazy drivers went out of town to kill themselves somewhere else.. Gdaughter is listening to Phantom of the Opera soundtrack AGAIN or should say STILL... They watch the movie all night on Friday. Finally took it away and daughter Laurie borrowed so they won't have it for a week, and then it will be rationed to one day a week or so. I like the Phantom too but constantly is way too much for me. Well am washing clothes or finishing up washing finally. Take care everyone, have safe and happy 4th. I made Potato Salad which is half gone already. That is okay still have beans to make. LOL... We grill tomorrow, just us folks... Take care Jolene Hi Jolene... just getting around to reading the wkn emails, as I wasn't able to get online...hope you had potato salad left for dinner...LOL Just wanted to let you know Glenn had that stuffy nose feeling with the same symptoms you mentioned...I'm eating lunch, so don't want to specify...LOL They told us it was from the chemo, but I can't remember if it was the Avastin or Oxaliplatin...one of those drano poisons!! Hope it's better by now.... I've lost track.. are you done with chemo?? Must be close... you go girl!!! Donelle Caregiver to Glenn

Turned in my pump today. the Saline nose drops took care of the bloody snotty nose. LOL So that makes me feel better.. could have been the Oxy as I don't take Avastin. Went out to lunch with friend Carmen, was in Austin last night I just a regular gad fly these days.Hope I can make next week's social meeting. Will have piper from Silver Thistle performing and explaining about pipes. He is very good and has a good following so we will have a good crowd. Business Meetings are always lively, and always someone blowing off steam on someone else.. Love it. Got a certificate of appreciation for my contribution to the association and a lifetime membership.. so I don't have to pay dues anymore.. Love it. LOL... I am feeling good so far, but chemo comedown will start soon. I hope to be okay still on Sat. night as the Brobdingnagian Bards will play that evening. They are a ren faire group but do irish stuff as well, and are great entertainers as well. Be good to see them again. They are going to full time performing so are really busy, but at least they play here once a month or so. Thanks for good wishes. You know you two are always in my thoughts. God bless and big hugs Jolene
