Guest guest
Hi Bruce, I had the Whipple almost 3 years ago. Will be 3 years August 7. I had been bragging of late as to how long I'd gone without an attack.....ended up in the hospital last Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Guess I won't be doing that again. actually it had been almost a year since a major attack. I still live on pain meds daily. I've had 8 blocks, none worked. It's a very invasive procedure. Do get a second opinion. Why are you having it done? If you have any questions feel free to ask. I wish you the best in what ever decision you make. Hope you're having a " good " evening. Terri L. Disraeli may have said " never apologize, never explain " , but he wasn't diabetic. We shouldn't 'apologize' in the sense of admitting wrongdoing--for there's nothing wrong with being diabetic--but if our diabetes causes someone else inconvenience or distress, we should apologize, and if it causes us to do things differently we should explain. Hi Bruce, I was a little confused with the first part, but the second is right on. But then, I have had a really bad day! I am glad we are talking nice and not arguing, ;-) The pie one is gonna throw you, huh? Sorry, I posted it for some others that can get away with it. Wish I could find you some wonderful recepies you love. Any ideas? Let me know. Hugs, marilyn
Guest guest
The only person in my home who requires a special diet is my mother. It is more difficult to say, 'no, you can't have that', than it is to reroute a diet around her. :-) > In a message dated 8/10/2004 6:31:54 AM Pacific Standard Time, > brucewilson@m... writes: > [, Bruce] So whoever does the cooking in the family has to make > two meals, one for the diabetic members of the family and one for the > nondiabetic members? Guest guest
Jane Oh, Tennessee River, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Tennessee Aquarium, Lake Nickajack, River Canyon.....darn......making me homesick even though I only lived there a couple of years. Oh, and its within the time period for the Fall Color Cruise on the river. When I lived on the river and had my own boat, I made that cruise. But one can make it on one of the cruises originating from the Chattanooga Pier. > > > Bruce, > > I have been so busy on " the Farm " that I haven't answered your question > about which weekend in October.
