Guest guest Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 Rapid Chili Mealtime Express Serves 8 1 lb ground extra lean beef 1 cup onions, chopped 2 tbsp chili powder 16 oz canned dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed 26 oz low-fat spaghetti sauce 1/4 tsp salt In a large saucepan, cook beef and onions until beef is no longer pink. Add chili powder, beans, spaghetti sauce, and salt. Mix well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes, or until heated through. Calories 170;Fat 2g;Chol 28mg;Protein 17g;Sodium 649mg;Carbs 18g;Fiber 5g I can't quite imagine serving 8 people chili with a 16 oz can of beans, I guess it is more sauce than beans ;-) Marilyn Moderator for Diabetic_Recipes dnevessr@...
