with crab mix in it.

I keep having dreams that I cheated, and I never do. What does

anyone know about red meat causing gout? I just bought the audio

version of Atkins and the lady I bought it from says it causes gout.

And what about sunflower seeds? They are 6 carbs for 2 oz with

shells, and that is a lot of seeds. Is there anything wrong with it

besides the salt-induced retention?

Thanks Penny. A second email from the person who mentioned the gout

said that a friend had developed gout 5 weeks into the program.

People always associate new problems on concurrent developments in

their lives, so it was probably a coincidence. I figured that gout

would be a major subject on this list if it were caused by red meat.

The medical book says it is caused by uric acid crystals from your

kidneys that get caught in the blood stream, causing severe pain in

your hands or feet, elbows or knees. It mentions alcohol poisoning,

but not red meat. It does say it is a metabolic disease.

Try the porkrinds at walmart ( located in the meat department). They are

really fresh and don't have weird ingred. in them.
