Guest guest
I was diagnosed in 1981 w/ type 1 but only after seeing two different pedi. dr.s. Finally my mother got so tired of being told her child just had the flu that she took me to her dr. He checked my blood sugar and it was over 600(that is as high as the meter would register). Anyway that night I was taken to the hospital and admitted w/ a level of close to 1200! But gosh , I thought we had come a long way since 1981. It just ,makes my blood boil sometimes at the near misses w/ serious problems due to the ignorance of people concerning diabetes and its treatment! i am so happy to hear that your son is doing well now. God bless, Donna > I have joined a few other diabetes groups also, so I am going to just copy > and paste my intro so if you are on one of the other lists it will be a repeat > ;-) > > My name is Keri.
