Cheep Self Diagnosis:

1. Compiled a list of about 100 symptoms associated with mercury

toxicity and boldfaced the ones I have or have experienced in the

past. I have experienced 62 of 106 symptoms.

2. Use the Cutler Diagnostic Checklist:

I score 10 of 12 for the History Part alone. I included some old and

more recent lab tests and my m = 27 and my n = 13. This implies

99.9% probable certainty.

3. Other lab tests indicate toxicity especially if I include Huggins

check list on page 98 of " It's All in Your Head... " . Low HDL

cholesterol, high blood triglycerides (442, 524 tested twice), and

elevated blood protein.

4. Experienced improved well being by taking traditional support

supplements.

5. Experienced greatly improved well being by taking certain amino

acids, glutamine in particular. Glutamine turned my entire condition

around. NOTE: This will be true for some mercury toxic people with

elevated cysteine and low glutamine but not for many other -I think

it's about 50/50%. (I'll make a separate posting about this) This

condition, elevated cystein and low glutamine, could indicate a drop

in glutathione, which the body uses to rid itself of mercury.

6. Considered the link between alzheimer's and mercury, and also the

fact that I am a newlywed and hope to have healthy children soon.

The above 6 points => GET THE AMALGAM OUT!

Note: An on-the-spot blood and urin test was negative for mercury.

I have not begun chelating yet.

Thanks that was helpful. Any particular reason for not having

begun chelation? I have just purchased some DMSA and am currently

having it compounded down to 25mg to start with 3 days on 4 days off

every 4 hours. Let me know how you go. I will read the glutamine post

with much interest. Thanks mate.

I still have amalgam in my mouth. I'm getting the third quadrant

done in 30 minutes.

I've purchased Lipoic Acid for chelation; haven't decided on using

DMSA as well. I still have some time but plan to do three days on

then four off proticol starting with 30 mg doses of LA every four (or

perhaps three) hours.
