I forgot where you are going. Are you going to Key West? What's the diving

like there? My hubby and I were in Cozumel in May and it was awesome as

usual. I'm going on a cruise with my mom and sis in Oct. We're going to Key

West and Coz. I'm trying to decide if I want to lug diving gear and do a

dive. I've never dove without my hubby but I think I feel confident enough now

to do it. I only had 15 dives under my belt prior to our latest trip to Coz.

I now have 30 so my experience is growing but I'm still a newbie.

Have a great vacation. Happy and safe diving! Wish I could be there! I

haven't had a chance to dive since Coz. I have been very healthy the last 3

months or so, but life has been exceptionally busy and crazy!

Lori,

What part of Florida are you?

If your trip is anywhere near the Alabama/Georgia state line let me know.

I live in the country, on a hillside that is really a pretty spot. I also

have an RV for you to stay overnight in if you want to.

You and your family are welcome to stop by for a visit, to take a break, or

stay overnight. The RV is available and we also have 3.5 acres to camp out

on, if you prefer.

Let me know if you want to stay here on your trip.

vacation

We are leaving on Saturday for our annual trip. Each summer my husband has

a meeting in a different city and we travel with him. We camp out and drive

'cause we could never afford to all go if we flew and stayed in hotels. We

do stay in a hotel where the meeting is. This year we are going to

Montreal. We are actually going to be gone for three weeks as we will visit

friends and family along the way. If anyone as any tips for things to do in

Maine or Montreal let me know (soon!). We are especially interested in

hearing aobut nice campgrounds in New England. I will be on no mail while

gone but will occasionally check the web site and get off list emails.

Lori,

too bad it is not Ontario!!!! There is a perfect campground literally

right next door to our cottage, very dreamlike campground, too. There

is a swimming area, and of course they have rental b oats but you

would not need that bc we have our boat here (ron and kids will be

here til the 13th or so of august...I have to go back to work this

weekend for about 10 days but thenI will be back up around the 2nd of

august). They even have a little hand rope ferry to a little island

next door, mostly a rock island. the kids and I took it over to the

island today and the kids played hide and seek with the neighbor

french kids while we were on the island. There is a Hershey factory

about an hour away...and MO is only about an hour and a h alf away so

she could come visit, too. We could pull the kids on the toy toys,

knee board, skis, whatever their desire. Sure you don't want to

detour through ontario? I know the girls would love to see Samual

again, and am betting that he would make really good competition for

our french neighbor (10 yr old Robin with whom Mollie is madly in

love!). Mallory would love a playmate, too, and Micah and she would

get along famously.

anyway, one can dream. Hey if you do decide to detour our way, how

about picking up one of those chia pets for Mo? (anyone who joined

the cfparents in the last 2 years will have to go to the archives to

get this one...)

I have missed you, my friend.

Lori, forgot to mention that if you don't need sewerand water h ookups,

you might could just pull your pop up into our yard (depends on h ow

wide, the driveway tothe part of the yard that is lake front is

narrow, we can't pull the boat trailor there, but it is a big boat...)

Anyway, we also have a guest room with its own bathroom. andthe

campground next door we still have the benefits of it, plus we have

one of those floating trampolines tied out from our dock that the kids

can jump on, cannot beat that for cpt, eh?

one of these years Mo and I are absolutely convinced that you are

gonna pull that pop up here. remember when the kathy's were going to

come, too and we were all gonna have onebig huge reunion?

my gosh, jojo was a newborn back then!!!!!!!!!

Hi Lori,

if you don't wanna take the shortest way to Montreal I can from

personal experience recommend the Acadia National Park in Maine.

Great landscape, great food (Tea on the lawn at Jordan's Pond Tea

House, yummy!), nice campground at the shore

http://www.barharborcamping.com/

And when you drive towards Quebec from there, you'll come along

Moosehead Lake. Shallow, warm water, lots of wildlife and a beautiful

campground. http://www.oldmillcampground.com/Home.htm

Eight years ago the owner was Rick, a former Nabisco Manager, who

offered guided Moose watching and had the best ice cream in the

Northeast :-))

We spent a week in Montreal (the old town is worthwhile visiting),

Quebec, Moosehead Lake and Acadia and finally shopped till we dropped

in the Outlet stores of Freeport. Our New England trip was really

fascinating, I hope you have some leisure time to enjoy the journey.

Have a nice trip!

Was more about Maine, we just loved that state. Maybe you can add a

few tips about Quebec. With my lack of french I would make a poor
