Hi Rita, wonderful! Sleep is such a necessary thing in our lives and people

who don't sleep well due to pain are much more likely to have bad BG's. Did

the doctor caution you to have a full stomach when you take the oxycontin? It

is a little hard on the tummy. I have not heard of the other med, maybe it is

known by another name. I should get out my nurses handbook and check it

out. Have a terrific day! Hugs, Marilyn

Hi Rita, I am glad he cautioned you. Protonix is a wonderful medication for

making sure they don't bother you, but is cost prohibitive. Hugs, Marilyn

Hi Rita, my dh is on 26 pills every day of different things, has a pain pump

for severe pain control, several PRN's (meaning just when he needs them) His

medical is so high after 2 years they had hit 6 million I heard, he is at 20

years now since he fell at work from a walking position into a copying machine

and destroyed his back, legs, leading to surgeries that made him progressivly

worse. By the third surgery when they were going to fuse his back, he

suffered 3 strokes then before they could discect beyond the dura, causing them

to

pull out of surgery. Life is nothing like it was before his surgery. He is not

the same man. Constand pain changes a person. Some of the light goes out in

their eyes. He was 38 way back then, hasn't driven or had a pain free day in

soon to be 20 yers. Yes, I understand pain. ;-) Hoping your day is pain

free. ;-)Hugs, marilyn
