New here and need some direction

Hi,

my name is Collen and I have a 5.5 y/oson who has some type of

developmntal delay,not autistic,(I did wonder when he was younger

tho) I have been trying formonths to figure out what is going on w/

him.A brief synopsis, late talker, apraxic like, but no diagnosis,

met milestones, on the somewhat late side but still in the range.

Rather uncoordinated, especially gross motor, fine is ok. Last June,

received MMR booster w/Varivax(I didn't know any better)3 weeks post

vaccine developed encephalitis like symptoms, stiff neck, headachey,

then had high temp w/seizure, no illness found. Seemed to recover

albeit with some residual headache and dizziness on and off. Then 3

weeks to the day after the first seizure he had another high temp

w/seizure. Now he has had temps prior,normal illnesses but never

seized before these 2 events. Cat of head normal EEG normal, but

still uncoordintated, but now it seems more weakness on one side of

his body than the other, he has a right ankle turns outward when he

runs. His speech, prior was not great but I noticed it now was

slurred after 3 or 4 words, he goes to speech therapy, and therapist

can not figure out why it isn't consistant. Some days better than

others, also coordintation some days better than others.NVIC wrote me

and suggested I have hm be seen by a DAN doctor, which I have an

appoitment May 4th. I did a trial with Proefa and I did see big

improvement with attention and temperment, a when off of it he seem

to drift off,but still with us if you know what I mean.Does this look

like mercury poisoning?He eats the best of my 4 kids, yet over time

since birth he has dropped from the 75% in height and weight to just

about 5%, he seems to haveno muscle mass anymore, he is hypotonic

always has been, no CP, as far as I have been told.He has small bumps

like chicken skin all over his arms and trunk, and some on his

legs.It just seems that their is something going on internally with

him and I cant get my finger on it. My pediatrician thinks I am

psycho, butI know something just isn't right. Cognitively he is fine,

learning to read has a phenominal memory for facts, but not events.

So if anyone could be as kind to give me their opinion, I do have

another appointment with neurologist, Marc 22 but last fall she blew

off my suggestion of posibly vaccine reaction, at least my

pediatrician agreed the seizures were vaccine related.But now to get

to the bottom of his uncoordination and lassitude and nutritional

concerns are another issue.

So any insight would be greatly appreciated.
