The Ripped Fuel (one of the girls in my step aerobics class lost 17 lbs. on Ripped Fuel) and Metabolift have 910 mg. Ma Huang and 334 mg. Guarana along with willow bark and a few other ingredients the manufacturer chooses to add. These are considered herbal stacks because Ma Huang and Guarana are herbal forms of ephedrine and caffeine and willow bark is supposed to do the same thing as aspirin. In the ad in my GNC magazine for ECA Stack they claim Willow Bark does not do the same thing as aspirin in the stack, but I've heard of lots of people losing weight using these herbal stacks, so I'm not going by their claims. I went to Vitamin World today and they had Mega Diet Caps that were cheaper than what I found on the internet and had the same ingredients as the others stacks, so when I finish the bottle I ordered I might try them out. Actually, I thought about this after I sent the post. I'll see how the stack works for me and hopefully I won't need anymore. My main reason for stacking is not to help me achieve my goal weight any faster, but to help me get rid of the fat on my body...especially around my stomach. Two pregnancies close together were not kind. Although my stomach is disappearing there is still a lot of fat on it. Supposedly, the stacks help enhance the fat burning process....we shall see! Guest guest
Marilyn, Good! I was going to start worrying about you!! LOL Let me know how it goes. Everything I read on it says diabetics shouldn't use it cause it stimulates insulin. I wonder if they just mean diabetics that are on insulin shots or all diabetics??My numbers have been great, but I am leary about it cause of that. (It seems to be the big thing right now.) It said, " These natural stimulants, however, should not be taken by anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or any other medical condition. I think you are smart to stay away from the stacks. It also states that, " Some athletes have found that conjugated linoleic acids (CLA), chromium and vanadyl sulfate help them to lose body fat. I think those ingredients can be found in Dr. Atkins' Dieters Advantage, or one of his other supplements. Marilyn 152/134/
Guest guest
Marilyn, You are right, the linoleic acid is in the Essential Oils, the Chromium is in the dieters advantage adn the Basic #3 and vanadyl sulfate is in Basic #3. I was going to stop basic 3 though cause of the price, It is 180 tablets for $35 a month and you have to take 6 of them a day!! Maybe I can find something cheaper at gnc. You could probably buy each individually at a cheaper price, and not have to take so many. Marilyn 152/134/

I am more interested in the herbal form. I try to stick with herbal whenever I can. Do you know if it has the same side effects though? I just don't want to feel like I am racing all day!! But I would like to give it a try. And where do you get the Ripped Fuel? GNC? Teena

Teena >> Teena, Yes, the Mega Diet Caps contain the same ingredients as Ripped Fuel, and yes, you can buy Ripped Fuel at GNC. In my GNC mag. it has it listed as $12.80 for 60 caps., $23.20 for 120 and $35.20 for 200 on sale. Or, $10.24, $18.56 and $25.60 if you get the 20% discount also. From what I've read you need to ease yourself into this so you don't get the " wired " feeling. Take half a dosage for a week, then add to it each week. You body should become accustomed and you shouldn't have that racey feeling. Also from what I've read, if you do feel the effects they should wear off after the first week. If you are still feeling anxious, having insomnia, jittery after this time you should discontinue use. Marilyn 152/134/
