Guest guest
HI, we had our weekly visit with the GI yesterday. We made a lot of decisions about . I am so glad about that because something just had to change. He also consulted with Dr. Vanderhoof in Nebraska and Dr. Sampson. They all agreed that we have to know whether he has truly outgrown the disease and it is gone or whether the eosinophils are gone just because of the steroids. This truly for once made a lot of sense. So, we will take him down starting today. We will go down every 10 days and see him in a month when we are down to 1cc. I am so scared. does so bad off the Prednisone. Last time, he was only off for 2 weeks and lost almost 4 lbs. The GI doc said he has got to come off so we know what we are dealing with. He said for me to be prepared because he may have to go in the hospital 2-3 times during this weaning due to the length of time he has been on the steroids. Please keep us in your thoughts during this weaning. I am sure we can use all the good thoughts we can get. Guest guest
will you come to Lincoln again? That depends on how this weaning off the steroids goes? We may come there again just cause I would love to go through all those shops in those tiny towns we went to. On the way home, there was actually a farmer sitting on the side of the road selling watermelons (which of course we had to stop and buy). They were so affordable, ($2.00) and it was the yummiest watermelon I have ever had!!! I would love to meet you too. I will let you know when we can make that trip.
