There was no bribe that would bring him to drink it. The NG tube was the only choice for us. I know how tough itis to go to the tube but if it makes him feel better, it is worth it. Is your GI aware that you are trying this right now? I just feel that when doing something this drastic you should be in close contact with the doc. Guest guest
None, unfortunately. We went all day yesterday refusing to give him anything but and by night, his eyes were starting to look sunken so we gave him water. Today, I tried the bribes again. He really wanted some popcorn so we tried to tell him one drink would get him a piece of popcorn. Well he just decided that if that was the case, he didn't want popcorn anymore. UGH! Guest guest
We have talked to the GI about how healthy was when he was exclusively on the formula. He just nods his head. He tells us to keep trying to get to drink the formula each time. He was the one who refused him anything else for 3 days when we were in the hospital. I think even surprised him with his stubborn ways. I think the hubby and I are about ready to go back to the tube feedings, we are so tired of hearing him complain of tummy pain. I don't think Dr. Friesen really takes us seriously on this. That is why we have been seeing other doctors. The GI in Nebraska is still waiting to receive the actual biopsies so he can evaluate them too.
