,

It could have been one of my posts talking about anger. I mention it

a lot. I totally understand how you feel. Since I joined this group

about a month ago, I've had a much easier time dealing with my anger

about this stupid disease. Just knowing others suffer as much, if not

more than I do, is a huge help. And to know that these same people

who suffer so horrificly are so wonderful about extending help to

others just... just renews my belief in the kindness of humans. I'm

starting to think I'm well on my way to acceptance. Yeah! So ,

stick with this group, and let it help your anger.

And thanks to the group. You're all wonderful.

Oh, I started taking Zoloft last night everyone. I know it says it

takes two to four weeks for it to help you, but I swear I feel a

little better today. Maybe it's just relief from finally having

something, maybe it's just the power of positive thinking. :-) Either

way, I do feel slightly better today. And that's a good thing.

Take care , and everybody,

I take Zoloft also and have for years. It has been my saving grace. My dosage

goes up and down depending on how I'm handling things. I'm so so so stressed

out...a job I hate, my sick dog, my illness, my life. I'm hoping by going back

up to 100mg a day for a while will take the edge off. Let me know how you do on

it.

That's what happened to me when I took it several years ago. Right away I

saw a little bit of a difference and then I would feel a little bit better

each day. My doctor told me it was too soon to make a difference, but I

knew that it was. Rox

Dear Newbies....Welcome! As posted it so well....our group here

is an absolute godsend; where we can all post our feelings, knowing

that there are many who can identify with what we are going through!

...I wonder if I shouldn't try Zoloft. I'm tapering off of the

Elavil because I am so sick & tired of the " hang overs " every

morning! Do you think it will help my sleeping? This is why I take

the Elavil.

Hi I am on Zoloft 150 mgs and at first it did make me

tired but now I take it in the morning and it seems to

help me have energy during the day. So actually it

might help you sleep at night because I get just a

little bit more accomplished during the day which does

tire me out and I have a more restful sleep at night.

Perhaps another member who has been on Zoloft longer would be able to

tell you better. It's only been about 5 days for me, so I only have

that time frame to go on. Fortunately, the side effects have been

minimal. And that's great for me, since I sometimes feel like the

queen of side effects!lol. I have felt an increase in energy, and

Sunday, in spite of my ungodly pain, I was positively perky! Rather

perverse, if I may say. I haven't noticed Zoloft helping me with my

insomnia, but then again, it hasn't made it any worse either. The

worst side effect I've noticed is that about an hour before I'm due

to take my pill, I get very yawny, and feel woozy. and it goes away

once I've taken my next dose. Hope this helps. :-)

Have a good and pain free day,

Hello !!

Every time I took something that was supposed to help with sleep, I got terrible

nightmares and couldn't wake up in the morning. I was late for work a month

straight!!

I took Nortryptelene and Amitriptelene.

I took Zoloft several years ago and don't remember any side effects or benefits.

I should have tried a higher dosage.

I recently tried Celexa and it made me very tired, just a couple of hours after

taking it.

I switched to Prozac and it doesn't make me tired. I see positive effects!!

Everybody and every body (pretty cute!) reacts very different to the same

medication.

I still feel fatigued in the mornings, but it is not worse with the Prozac. I

also take it in the morning.

My suspicions were confirmed by my doctor: if the side effects are negative,

like tiredness, you feel it right away. I couldn't stay on longer to see if it

changes. A few days of this tiredness was all I could take.

Hope this encourages you to try and find whatever works for you.

I am not a fan of medications, but I am making my life easier with them.

take care,
