Guest guest
<> How did it go getting to drink the formula? Is there anything like the superheros or Teletubbies that you can bribe him with? I hate always putting conditions on everything Arissa does but I don't know what else to do. Today, I used the beach, the pool, painting, play-doh, going outside....She also likes the stamp art with the different color ink pads. She likes putting them on herself. She has never been a sticker type of bribery person. The therapist said do things like-you can have a french fry if you take a sip. Then in a few days-you can have a french fry if you take 2 sips......If there is a food that he likes and can eat. Just some things that have helped us out. Guest guest
I have Mr. Super Stubborn who even amazed the doctors who hospitalized him a few months ago when they took out his ng tube and they tried to get him to drink. We tried bribbery with toys, with french fries. The doctors even said fine, he isn't getting anything else, no food, no water, nothing. He went 3 days with absolutely nothing, lost 2 lbs, was dehydrated (this was in the hospital) before 9pm at night on the 3rd day when the resident came in and saw how dehydrated he was and gave him Sprite. At that point, he had not taken one drink. Go figure!
